Role Summary: Perform tasks related to receiving, warehousing and releasing materials into production. . To establish smooth operation of export and import, cost effectiveness and on time delivery, and timely clearing of engine spares & materials in receiving area. Maintaining an efficient warehouse operations and also to maintain excellent chemical management in accordance with company and aviation requirements
Essential Responsibilities: Receive, classify, and stock incoming goods. This includes ERP updating, managing stocking conditions, and knowing what is where. Develops new solutions under guidance and/or in a team setting or based upon precedents in the organizations. Works together with business leadership at SPB and EB level. Specifies needs, communicates about project approach and presents outcomes of research done. Delivers products as part of a team. Works on cross functional teams. Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse and transportation Ensuring all import and export transaction are carried out smoothly and in accordance with GE International Trade compliance regulation plus local and foreign countries regulatory bodies. Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements. Meet cost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets for both warehouse/logistics. Supervise, coach and train warehouse/Logistics workforce. To coordinate with MIDA and Ministry of Finance for GEESM tax exemption. Periodically planned audit on freight forwarders to ensure that all import and export transaction are carried out in accordance with Custom regulations. To operate and maintain an efficient cost control for export and import.Established training requirement necessary to achieve the required level of skill and performance within the section take step to ensure that training is provided. To set target and gage the performance of freight forwarders and to ensure target are met. Periodically planned meeting with freight forwarders to discuss service issues and variation, also setting target for improvement by using six sigma tools. Implement and maintain receiving set-up to ensure that engine spares, materials, equipment and chemicals in accordance with company, DCA and other aviation authorities requirement in a timely manner.
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Warehousing/Inventory AND Logistics with moving parts via flight. Knowledgeable in local customs, STA, and taxes Experience with direct reports and leading teams
