Role Summary: The Winder B performs difficult operations such as rewinding, repairing, reassembling and testing large-sized DC armatures, AC stators and rotors, etc.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Winder B, you will:
Perform difficult operations such as rewinding, repairing, reassembling and testing large-sized DC armatures, AC stators and rotors, etc
Perform related duties as assigned such as assisting on the larger or more complicated units
May dismantle and repair commutators and collector rings as well as to band rotating equipment
May direct others
May be required to work overtime, various shifts, holidays and weekends
Travel to job sites
High School Diploma / GED
Minimum of 5 years of experience winding AC and/or DC armatures from 5 HP to 1,000 HP +
Ability and willingness to travel and complete overnight stays
Able to read and interpret winding connection drawings
Experience winding field coils
Good Mechanical skills
Self-starter able to work with minimal direction
Willingly accepts job challenges
Have experience with Health and Safety program
