Role Summary: Avio Aero is reinforcing the focus to excellence in aeronautical Engine Combustor, to adequately support the new Turboprop engine family. In this spirit, we are looking for a talented junior design engineer, expected to support the Combustor Module mechanical design engineer. The Combustor Module Mechanical Design Engineer will support the Combustor Module design throughout the entire NPI process, from preliminary to final architecture definition.
Essential Responsibilities: Combustor Module Mechanical Design Engineer will (under the Combustor module mechanical designer):
Contribute to the Combustor preliminary mechanical design arrangement
Interface with Combustion Design Tech. team, Combustor component designers/ Hardware Owners and Manufacturing Engineers, to assure that component detailed design meets the module requirements
Manage the ICD (interface control document) with adjacent modules
Execute the Assembly drawings, Step & Gap assessment and drawings with all relevant module stack up
Support the System Engineer/Technical Leader & Combustor module mechanical designer in the coordination of the overall Combustor design activities with the aim to achieve program milestones and meet schedule and deadlines
Contribute and support Design Reviews (DRs) and Tech Reviews (TRs), even as presenter, when required
Lead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasks.
Master Degree in Engineering from an accredited university
Strong technical skill and passion and interesting in mechanical design
Basic knowledge of CAD tool (Unigraphics NX preferred) and FEA tools (Ansys preferred)
Ability to interface with a multi-functional team, not in a direct reporting relationship, including technical people from different departments/companies/research centers
Self-directed and motivated
Open mindset and strong team player
Fluent written and spoken Italian and English language
EU Work Permit.
Experience on other engine modules rather than just on Combustor one
Passion and commitment for technology
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to guide and influence others in a global environment.
