Role Summary: The Site Lean Six Sigma Leader provides strategic design, development, and implementation of lean and six sigma practices into operations for the Wales site, resulting in reduced cycle time, cost, and inventory. This will ensure consistency and process improvement for the facility and the individual will have a seasoned and deep understanding of concepts, approaches and methodology used.
Essential Responsibilities: A member of the site leadership team, they will:
• Facilitate, train, and coach team members in the use of Lean, Six Sigma, and Digital tools • Effectively collaborate with different functions in locations around the world • Have deep expertise in lean management and lean processes elements • Have the ability to lead change of complex processes across a large, diverse organization
Ensure continuous business improvement according to benchmarks and standards. • Team and matrix management of employees according to specific projects or programmes. • Solve issues and developing new solutions requiring usage of methods and approaches with some precedence. • Present product / program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders across GE. • Involved in complex decision making sometimes with external parties.
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience. Proven years of experience in Operations Management, preferably in a production facility Experience in a highly regulated industry sector
