Role Summary:
An opportunity exists for an individual to join the inspection team at Dowty Propellers.

Essential Responsibilities:
The role will encompass activities associated with the inspection function in an aerospace environment. The key aspects of the role are as follows:

  • Goods inwards and outwards inspection
  • Propeller kit inspection - checking parts and recording batch numbers
  • Provide assistance when required of Kit Marshalling / picking
  • Monitor Temperature and Humidity chart recorders and maintain records
  • Laser / Chemical etching of parts when required
  • Final and release inspection – viewing of Products – Blades / Control Units / Over shoes and Elements.

The successful candidate will also be expected to perform other duties on an ad hoc basis to fulfill the business needs where required and will work in different shift patterns in different Dowty locations including nightshift


  • Demonstrate knowledge and experience of inspection work
  • Demonstrate their ability to work as an effective team player.
  • Demonstrate a flexible approach to developing skills and supporting activities at both production and repair & overhaul.
  • Demonstrate personal drive and motivation to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Demonstrate good manual dexterity.
  • Work to procedures and demonstrate this under audit conditions
  • IT tool literate – use of ERP system and use MS office tools
