Role Summary: The Inspector will be responsible for QC inspections at the manufacturing facility level to ensure continuous production consistent with established standards. The inspector will perform Quality Control duties with regards to Dimensional, Hardness, Mag, LP and other measuring tools and calibration.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Quality Control Inspector - 2nd Shift you will:
Perform inspections of oilfield related API 6A products to ensure compliance with specified requirements at the receiving, in-progress and final stages of the process in the following disciplines: Visual inspection, Dimensional inspection, Hardness testing, Review of certification documentation, and Review of job order package for revision control and tested products.
Enter and retrieve data from the Quality department's online databases such as Non-Conformance Reports, Supplier Deviation Reports and Corrective Action Reports.
Perform and review NDT (Non Destructive Testing) level II for compliance with applicable, Weld Inspection - ASME, Sec. IV, Calibration of Inspection, Measuring and Test Equipment.
High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
Minimum of 2 years manufacturing experience
Work 2nd Shift
Complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty
Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
Have current or have had LP and MP certification
QC Inspector qualifications: Certified Mechanical Inspector, Blueprint reading and Interpretation, use and selection of inspection test and measurement instruments.
