Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for an Offshore Project Coordinator to support Process and Pipeline Services in Broussard, LA. This role will coordinate large complex projects for offshore clients from conception to project close out.
Responsible for all major facets of assigned projects from inception to completion, including client contact, engineering, resource planning, logistics, equipment function testing, job execution, overall Project profitability, and submission of final reports and invoicing.
Ensure that company QHSE Management System, and company policies are adhered to at all times.
Direct Report is to the Offshore Operations Manager. Job holder is expected to interact with all Departments, including Accounting, workshop/maintenance, QHSE, Sales/Commercial, and Operations as required to insure efficient Project Execution.
Take an active role in the training and development of subordinate personnel, and serve as a mentor to Trainee Engineers, or Operations staff as required
Position includes 50-60% travel
High School Diploma or equivalent.
5+ years’ experience in an oilfield services operations environment
Experience in the operation of pumping equipment
Role is Offshore, so candidate must be willing to work offshore and be able to obtain the related safety training and qualifications required for working in the Gulf of Mexico.
Strong leadership skills are required, and the candidate must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
A strong interpersonal and communications skill is a must, along with ability to develop long term Client relationships.
Able to develop and review Project related Engineering procedures, QHSE Plans, Risk Assessments, and other project documentation that may be required.
Previous experience working with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel.
Knowledge of rotating equipment
Strong Communication Skills
Good Interpersonal and organizational skills.
