Role Summary:
The Enterprise Application Engineer will be responsible for designing, supporting, and using Splunk (log aggregation and search tool), will learn the relevant technologies and lead design discussion in a limited manner. This individual will demonstrate a deep understanding of Splunk, it’s dependencies, and its alignment with overall data aggregation and search strategy.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for delivering a service or integration of services
  • Works independently and contributes to the immediate team and to other teams across business
  • Contributes to design discussions
  • Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts.
  • Ability to take ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members.
  • Has the ability to analyze impact of technology choices.
  • Skilled in install and configuration of enterprise applications that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
  • Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems.
  • Skilled in core data structures and interfaces for information exchange across platforms
  • Skilled in development of programmatic capabilities for all aspects of service operability
  • Proactively shares information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Information Technology, specifically Enterprise Application Engineering

    Eligibility Requirements

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience administering Splunk and Splunk ES above 1TB per day scale
  • Experience administering a Splunk search head cluster, indexer cluster, and Splunk code upgrades across large scale environments
  • Experience managing 20 or more concurrently running servers in AWS leveraging AWS services and automation tools.
  • Strong communication skills and desire to help customers transform and achieve success
  • Willing to learn and utilize new technologies, concepts and procedures as appropriate to project requirements
