Role Summary:
In this role you would:

  • Serve as the principal, on-site, customer interface for GE Aviation with the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), consistently providing executive presence to the customer and industry peers
  • Represent GE Aviation at all levels of the command on a myriad of issues ranging from technical matters to program management
  • Assist with developing and executing strategies that set the conditions for winning competitive opportunities to grow the GE Aviation business

    Essential Responsibilities:


    Key Responsibilities Include :


  • Remain abreast of USAF requirements and translates them to meaningful business opportunities
  • Maintain the daily focus on sustaining a high standard of performance on current programs
  • Network and interface daily with appropriate counterparts within the aerospace and defense industry
  • Remain active in professional organizations that promote the Warfighter and industry
  • Develop sustained relationships within the local community – establish GE Aviation as a premier organization by participating in local community events and activities
  • Routinely coordinate, organize and prepare for meetings between GE Aviation program managers and leadership with appropriate representative(s) at AFMC and within the local aerospace and defense community.
  • Remain operationally and politically aware and up to date; comprehend the impact on GE Aviation of USAF and DoD modernization and force structure plans, as well as the global political environment

    Must have effective engagement with all levels, from individual program leads in the respective branch of service to the most senior Political appointees and General Officers in the USAF as well as the most senior Company Executives

  • It is essential to have a thorough understanding and knowledge of: The DOD / military service requirements process, defense acquisition and the planning, programming, budgeting and execution (PPBE) process
  • Ability to lead business development planning processes for this market which consists of complex products and systems requiring technical knowledge and knowledge of the environment where the products or systems will be used
  • Ability to coordinate sales teams involving engineering, legal, risk, finance etc.



    Qualifications/Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in US Military Customer Accounts



    Desired Characteristics:


  • Proven leadership abilities in a range of positions to include operational and staff assignments with experience in complex organizations
  • Have a working knowledge of high performance combat engines technologies
  • Organizational knowledge of the United States Air Force
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills
  • A thorough understanding and knowledge of: the DoD / USAF requirements process, the Defense Acquisition System and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process
  • Knowledge of GE product line and services
  • Strong background in logistics
  • Master’s degree from an accredited university or college
