Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for a Welder - 2nd Shift in our Lowry Rd facility in Claremore, OK.
Under direct supervision, performs welding of PCP equipment at the Claremore Lowry Plant.
Job may also involve work on new product lines.
Applicant will work under the direction of the Supervisor, Group leader or experienced associates in the area.
Understands how to perform visual and in-process inspections in accordance with API and ISO quality specifications.
Develops skill to read and interpret blueprints.
Helps facilitate the team in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and solving welding problems that enhance through-put within the work team.
Supports the team and team's objectives.
Learns skills to pass periodic welding tests and qualifications in compliance with qualification procedures.
Other duties and projects as assigned.
2nd Shift work hours: Monday – Thursday 5:00pm – 3:30am
Overtime may be required
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, Word, and Power Point
Understanding of lean principles and 6S
Very good written and verbal communication skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
Solid understanding of blueprints and bill of materials
Familiar with the use of common hand tools.
Use of precise measuring equipment
Able to follow manufacturing methods
Safety and quality oriented.
MIG Welding experience
Lean manufacturing experience
Understanding of complex assemblies
