Role Summary: The Digitization Tools Functional Leader will lead projects for the development of global inquiry to remittance digital tools including: quotation, product configurators, CAD software, customer portals (both internal & external) & other digital tools / applications used throughout the inquiry to remittance process.
Essential Responsibilities: You will be responsible for coordinating all tool development efforts between the respective functions involved in the ITO / OTR process, including: Sales, Customer Excellence, Product Management, Supply Chain, IT and Finance. You will also be responsible for defining and documenting functional requirements, including: product rules, user experience, output documentation, process improvements, and downstream system integration needs.
Products include, but not limited to Medium Voltage Switchgear, Medium Voltage Motor Control Centers, Low Voltage Switchgear, Low Voltage Switchboards, and Low Voltage Motor Control Centers. As well as Vacuum Circuit Breakers, Power Circuit Breakers, and Transformers.
As the Digitization Tools Functional Leader, you will:
Document functional requirements and specifications related to developing ITO / OTR digital tools
Document product rules and define the user experience during the development and maintenance of ITO / OTR Digital Tools
Work closely with applicable business functions to gather and define program requirements
Work closely with Technology to gather and define NPI requirements as well as legacy product designs and applications
Work closely with both internal and external users to assess their needs as it relates to digital tools and the ITR process
Lead the effort with Factory personnel to define order handoff requirements
Lead the effort with Finance to develop costing models to ensure accurate costing at the quote stage
Lead the effort with Product Management to develop pricing models to ensure market acceptable pricing, as well as product line profitability
Lead the effort with IT to provide functional requirements, test cases, and required deliverables associated with the IT development process
Develop and execute test plans to ensure desired functionality and quality of product configuration and other digital tools
Provide training and guidance to users of the tools
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics engineering, Computer Science (or High School Diploma / GED with minimum 8 years experience in a technical field)
Minimum 4 years experience in sales, quotation, application, project management, or product development including a minimum 4 years experience working with electrical distribution products
Strong knowledge of project management and project execution methodologies
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong customer advocate
Champion of change; willing and eager to promote change
Prior digital tool development experience
Prior Black Belt or Six Sigma experience or equivalent quality experience
Excellent analytical and computer skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office
