Role Summary: Responsible for defined work or projects with moderate complexity. In this role you will follow an individual work plan, meet day-to-day short-term objectives, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Planner / Buyer you will:
Interface and coordinate with BHGE factories, customers, sales, finance, and PTS to manage high value transactions for BHGE parts
Coordinate master schedulers between GE factories and warehouse for proper schedule and allocation of the parts
Facilitate international shipments from USA to the service site, coordinate logistics, and drive resolution on logistics / customs issues
Facilitate material procurement requirements necessary to support various P&L's within the organization and the factories
Place, manage, and process all required purchase orders / Planner orders to fulfill customer and Inventory requirements
Act as the primary liaison with factory personnel and fulfillment COE on a day-to-day basis to maximize fulfillment compliance throughout the OTR process
Develop production control tools and processes to manage critical milestones to ensure 100% on-time delivery, Schedule Ship date & customer want date scorecards
Interface with routing center to optimize transportation cycles and cost
Manage inventories to eliminate and prevent excess and inactive materials, including Cycle Counting and Slow moving / Obsolete stock
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in Materials Management or similar planning role)
Minimum 1 year of experience in Materials Management or similar planning role
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Ability to work independently
Strong problem solving skills
Knowledge of ERP system SAP
Knowledge of production and inventory management is preferred
