Role Summary: In this role, you will perform the daily operations of the Assembly Hall at the Grove City Remanufacturing Plant. In addition, you will work to ensure the safety, quality, and productivity of the area. You will work with the other areas in the GRR Plant along with the Grove City Main Engine Plant in order to fulfill all customer demands.
Lead first and second shift assembly teams, approximately 42 employees
Manage employee payroll time approvals, vacation schedules, absentee coverage, cross-training
Adjust assembly line labor formations to accommodate changing customer demands
Supervise shop floor operations for remanufactured locomotive engine assembly lines
Work with safety, materials, and quality functions to facilitate and participate in problem-solving activities
Responsible for engine assembly line safety, quality, delivery, and productivity metrics
Maintain Engine Assembly teamwork culture, high morale, and 5S discipline
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Manufacturing).
