Role Summary:

Technical leader proficient in leading team of developers. IT expert responsible for the overall design, documentation, maintenance and integration of the available technology environment/frameworks within GE Functions on Agile SDLC methodologies with various teams. Continuously identify - implement performance and improvement opportunities for the systems.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Experience with Java (experience with the Spring framework a plus).

  • Experience with Agile (Scrum) and test driven development, continuous integration (Jenkins/Hudson) and version control (SVN, GIT, etc.).

  • Experience in working in mobile platforms such as IOS, android.

  • Experience in Tomcat & JBoss server.

  • Process oriented in designing and implementing of highly impactful solutions for finance adhering to IT Risk compliance regulations.

  • Responsible technical leader who define, develop and evolve systems on SDLC methodologies and infrastructure.

  • Lead all software development life cycle activities through user acceptance testing.

  • Develop, support, and provide guidance to both GE and 3rd party consultant teams throughout the systems development lifecycle including planning,
  • execution and design architecture using agile methodologies.
  • Ensure quality and compliance requirements are met with all deliverables including system architecture, methods, standards, and documentation.

  • Utilize experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives, and deliver short-term and long-term business goals.

  • Serve as technical expert on supported applications, including code, interfaces, and data flows.

  • Provide technical and/or project leadership on projects and deliverables, eliminating duplication and leveraging technology reuse.

  • Lead impact assessment and decision related to technology choices, design /architectural considerations and implementation strategy.

  • Subject matter expert in processes and methodologies with ability to adapt and improvise in various situations.

  • Expert in navigating through ambiguity and prioritizing conflicting asks.

  • Communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions.

  • Builds strong customer relationships; creates processes with customer viewpoint; partners with customers to help shape their future initiatives.

  • Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources.

  • Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and 3 years of technical experience OR a minimum of 5 years of technical experience delivering large-scale, enterprise-wide web applications OR Master’s degree with 2 years of technical experience.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience using Java and frameworks such as Spring 2 or equivalent.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience using HTML, CSS, Java Script, JQuery & frameworks such as Angular JS, AJAX & Angular material or equivalent. Experience in building RESTful web services.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience MSSQL, Oracle 11g, MySQL or equivalent.

  • Excellent Knowledge of object-oriented design and development concepts and practice.
