Role Summary: The Director of Sales Operations will manage the functions essential to the operations and productivity of the global sales team. The Director will partner with the commercial leadership team including senior sales executives, Digital technology teams, finance, and operations across GE to provide evidence-based sales data to support daily sales execution and strategic sales initiatives.
Own development and ongoing support of GE Digital’s global coverage model and sales person quota assignments. Partner with GE Business units to drive best practice account coverage.
Own forecasting and pipeline reporting process, QMI rhythm; partnering with commercial finance and sales management/commercial leadership.
Partner with Digital Technology team to define requirements for and implement appropriate tool framework to support sales operations (reporting, dashboarding) for GE Digital and GE Business Units.
Partner with Digital Technology team to collect, analyze, and provide insight on sales-related data across the enterprise including KPI’s like sales velocity, customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, and productivity quotients.
Assist in developing and implementing strategic sales plan including, resource allocation, target market segments, and forecasting.
Partner with the SFDC business analyst – assess need and complete use cases for use by the Commercial Platforms Leader (items include process enhancements, new fields, new screens, new functionality, and new reports).
Act as key Subject matter expert for how the business utilizes Salesforce.com.
Utilize knowledge of reporting systems to close training/knowledge gaps identified in interactions with staff in region.
Support the team to drive simplification, automation and standardization using the Fastworks approach to quickly produce and iterate
Provide the business insights to the technical team & set up/validate new data sources in DOMO, create visualization cards, validate data and iterate visualizations based on user feedback; give demos/train new business users and ensure access and security
Provide daily administration and support of Salesforce and its integration with other tools
Solicit, drive, triage and prioritize business deliverables
Define and develop BI reports / dashboards for the most relevant and important key performance indicators (KPIs)
Support senior sales executives in developing / delivering content for key presentations and meetings
Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or other related field. MBA preferred.
A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in business/sales operations/analytics, or other strategic commercial role.

Must be willing to travel 20%
Open to all US locations and working remotely in the US
Masters’ degree, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence solution direction across all levels of the organizational matrix.
Past experience working with SFDC, DOMO or similar visualization systems, and other GE systems
Working knowledge of SQL
Experience as a business user/analyst working with large scale data and business intelligence software (Domo, Tableau, Spotfire, MicroStrategy, or other)
Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis, yet translate those results to easily digestible messages, communications, and presentations
Superior analytical and data modeling skills, with demonstrated ability to succinctly interpret data and convert ideas to action.
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) - ability to communicate with a variety of functions and C-level executives
Ability to formulate and deliver clearly complex information, issues and recommendations in both written and oral presentation to senior management.
Highly driven individual with an execution focus and a strong sense of urgency in a rapidly changing environment
Ability to both execute directly and prioritize the work of a cross-functional team.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
Experience working with Salesforce.com.
Experience with Business Intelligence or Data Visualization tools (SAS, DOMO, Wave Analytics)
Background in influencing cross-functional teams toward execution of a strategic initiative. Experience working with a field sales force.
Exhibited capability to break down complex issues with the goal of mitigating/eliminating barriers.
Independent, self-directed, with a strong attention to detail.
Strong intellectual curiosity—a desire to identify the “why” in a situation.
