Role Summary: The Project Manager is a key part of the GE Onshore Renewables team and plays an essential role in the execution of our Projects across the SEA region. Reporting to the Projects & Services Leader (SEA), you will be responsible for the delivery of the construction phase of projects including management, co-ordination and reporting in relation to the construction, installation and successful commissioning of the windfarm
Essential Responsibilities: • Support smooth Handover of Project from Sales and hold kick-off meetings with Customer. • Ensure on-time / on-budget execution of assigned projects. • Work with Product Service / Engineering and Supply Chain teams to provide feedback on performance of current systems and the changes/modification required to eliminate bottlenecks. • Develop new partners and collaborate with existing partners to deepen the GE relationship and support the development of local partners for competitiveness and growth. • Coordinating with Supply chain to ensure Wind Turbines and associated components are delivered to site per contractual requirements. • Working with suppliers and site teams to repair, refurbish or replace components as required during project execution. • Work closely with relevant COE’s to streamline Operations in support of Project Execution. • Strong focus on Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) mindset and compliance. • Build strong local and regional relationships with Customers, ensure Customer Satisfaction excellence and help Sales team in securing repeat orders with our customers. • Ensure compliance to Quality Policy and Quality processes are strictly implemented. • Foster a team environment to facilitate success. • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive Cost out. • Travel to Sites and Customer locations on business needs as required. • Work with Operations team to Monitor Cost of quality and provide periodic dashboard to management on challenges / margin erosion. • Order / track / validate Invoicing for Equipment, parts and services provided to the customer. • Cost or financial data collection and reconciliation. • Ensure smooth handover of project upon completion to Services team.
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor in Engineering – Electrical, Electronics or Power Electronics, Mechanical Engineering. • Professional experience in Wind turbines and / or Power Generation • Demonstrate consistently high levels of performance in all areas of responsibility. • Work efficiently without direct supervision & lead team of projects personnel. • Prior Sales or Commercial background with strong business and financial acumen. • Knowledge of ISO & Safety Standard’s. • Excellent Communication Skills. • Customer Service and advocate mindset. • Good computer skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and knowledge of Database operations. • Knowledge on Renewable policies and national / state / regional requirements. • In depth Knowledge of Project Management and Project execution including Installation and Commissioning. • Experience handling Consortium type projects required.
Desired Characteristics: • GB Certified (if GE employee). • Ability to Travel to sites within SEA and Asia Pacific region in support of Project Execution. • Strong Technical, Leadership and Interpersonal Skills.
