Role Summary:
In Talent Acquisition at GE Digital, we own each other’s success, think globally, align regionally and functionally, and by segment to ensure a customer-oriented experience for our stakeholders. The VP, Talent Acquisition – Executive Search will be a member of the global Digital Talent Acquisition Leadership team and be responsible for developing and owning the recruiting strategy for attracting executive-level digital talent into GE Digital and across the GE business units.

Essential Responsibilities:

In this highly visible leadership position, you will:

  • Define and drive the global Digital Talent Acquisition (“DTA”) strategy for executive level hires to attract and retain exceptional, diverse talent across GE’s businesses.
  • Develop a business case to structure and deliver a scalable and flexible executive recruitment model.
  • Partner with senior-level business and technical leaders on digital roles across our verticals and develop robust recruiting strategies that will meet business needs.
  • Build, develop and lead a team of executive Recruiters, Sourcers, Specialists and Coordinators; coach, mentor and evaluate team members in a way that increases productivity of individuals and the team, as well as provides opportunity for career growth.
  • Show the value of the function through quantitative and qualitative KPIs, metrics and reporting.
  • Translate complex and frequently ambiguous business needs into detailed team priorities, establishing time-bound objectives and clear success metrics.
  • Create a world class, consistent, end-to-end candidate experience from job posting through to onboarding and employment.
  • Develop trusted and influential relationships with client groups, ensuring that executive recruitment and a positive candidate experience are integrated into business unit principles.
  • Influence client groups by using market data insights to support business growth and decision making.
  • Develop passive candidate and succession planning pipelines through strategic sourcing networking, referrals, events/conferences, complex internet searches and strategic research; work with client groups to prepare for People Reviews.
  • Attract a diverse slate of high-quality, passive executive candidates while delivering an exceptional recruiting experience; as our executive search thought leader, you will be leading your own search assignments in addition to managing the function.
  • Focus on quality of hire - drive use of capability assessments and talent mapping exercises to hire the best talent through GE Digital’s Integrated Talent Management (ITM) system.
  • Manage cost and financial operational plan for the organization, forecasting scenarios that provide sustainable growth.
  • Collaborate with the broader Global Talent Acquisition organization, share best practices and engage with the Executive Search Council.
  • Develop trusted relationships with potential candidates and market leaders, promoting the GE brand and cultivating a network of experienced professionals.
  • Team with Talent Acquisition leaders on broader recruiting strategies to create continuity from University and entry-level recruiting up to Executive Search.
  • Promote a recognized DTA brand internally through direct client engagement as well as professional templates, documents, reporting and presentations.
  • Lead initiatives around diversity strategy to attract a diverse workforce to GE and maintain an active pipeline of potential candidates.
  • Work with the Senior Executive - Global Talent Management & Acquisition to develop a strategic approach to third party vendors/external search firms and establish an evaluation framework for agency assessment; retain and manage external agencies for select roles as needed.
  • Set high recruitment standards, maintaining operational excellence and compliance.
  • Operate with the highest level of integrity and foster a culture of collaboration, learning and fun.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree and at least 15 years of demonstrated recruiting domain experience, ideally both in-house and at a recognized search firm.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in executive recruiting leading full lifecycle recruiting engagements and at least 4 years’ experience managing high performing leadership recruiting teams.
  • A minimum 6 years of recruiting in the technology sector and attracting and recruiting digital talent.

    Eligibility Requirements
