Role Summary:
The Sales Director – Canada will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives for the IS Canadian Electrical Distribution business.

Essential Responsibilities:
In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, be involved in long term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. You will:

• Execute on assigned operating plan and targets to assure that business exceeds Orders / Sales / CM targets
• Meet or exceed operational requirements: forecasting, analytical reporting, People Reviews, operating reviews, and cost
• Build influential relationships with customers at all levels and develop strategies to win profitable business from those customers
• Be able to build deep and meaningful customer relationships
• Develop and execute customer and segment strategies
• Integrate information, resources, and activities within the region
• Lead sales agency strategy and execution, and work with agencies to achieve Orders/Sales/CM targets
• Be responsible for customer satisfaction, evaluation, plans, and follow through
• Demonstrate commercial and technical expertise
• Provide regional input for Growth Playbook, SII planning and forecasting
• Drive strategy and growth initiatives within the segment and region
• Direct the sales team to identify and develop opportunities driving growth
• Build, develop, mentor high performing sales team within your segment

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
• Strong experience in industry-related sales or equivalent knowledge and experience

Desired Characteristics:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Strong industry knowledge and understanding of the market dynamics of the electrical industry and distribution
• Experience building relationships with distributors, electrical contractors, OEM’s and end users and interacting with design partners
• Prior commercial sales experience in closing large and complex contractual agreements
• Strong project management skills
• Customer-focused mindset with proven ability to respond quickly to customer needs
• Strong coordination and influencing skills
• Knowledge of customer financial drivers / needs
• Ability to apply Six Sigma to improve customer satisfaction
• Six Sigma training or equivalent Quality training
• Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools
• Strong oral, written communication skills and presentation skills
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Some experience leading a sales team
