Role Summary: This role will lead marketing initiatives related to all Additive Manufacturing services and digital solutions including: driving market requirements into new product introduction; driving product value creation including packaging and pricing; positioning and launching services digital solutions and upgrades, go-to-market strategy; and collaborate with product marketing staff responsible for machines and services including after-market services, customer support and, GE Digital.
Essential Responsibilities: This highly visible role requires strong analytical skills, imaginative thought leadership, external focus, and excellent communication skills to influence cross-functional teams to implement strategically important market strategies. In addition to supporting a diverse array of existing additive products / service channels, this role will also focus on growth in aftermarket services, and product/industry adjacencies.
In addition you will:
• Support the development of product roadmaps for additive manufacturing offerings across selected customer segments by providing market and customer requirements, competitive intelligence and market trends to position the product for growth. • Support NPI packaging and pricing. • Articulate product value propositions through understanding of customer requirements. • Lead creation of product value playbooks. • Perform product life cycle analytics. • Provide additive marketing campaign support to Sales Managers. • Collect competitive information and perform competitive assessments. • Conduct detailed customer segment analysis. • Provide early customer engagement and launch pilot programs with customers • Design the go-to-market strategy and ensure product launch success including planning/execution of pricing strategy, training, addressing of legal and accounting requirements • Develop in collaboration with communications the marketing deliverables for new product introduction. • Create product messaging and organize promotion via trade shows, conferences, press releases, etc. through interface with marketing communications.
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor's or Master’s degree from an accredited university or college in a technical discipline including engineering or science • 10 years of work experience, including at least 5 years in commercial roles including marketing, product management, customer support or sales.
Desired Characteristics: • Masters degree: Business Administration (MBA), Economics, Marketing, or Finance • Experience with industrial products and services • Broad knowledge of additive industry key players and business models • Working knowledge of additive manufacturing equipment • Intense curiosity and ability to envision & assess growth opportunities in adjacent markets • Knowledge of industrial technology acquisition processes • Ability to assess and recommend pricing strategies • Strong oral and written communication skills • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs • Established project management skills • Flexibility and ability to adapt to varying priorities • Multi-cultural and/or international experience
