Role Summary: In the role of Service Shop Manager you will:
Create work schedules for shop staff
Coordinate and schedule equipment assembly and repair
Operate shop in compliance with BHGE HSE requirements
Schedule maintenance for shop operating equipment
Train staff on proper assembly, repair and test procedures
Review and approve time sheets for shop staff
Perform HSE and Quality inspections per policy
Handle employee performance issues and discipline for shop staff
High School Diploma / GED from an accredited school or institution
Minimum 3 years of experience in service shop or assembly shop
Minimum 2 years of experience in shop foreman or shop supervisor
Work on-call, overtime, weekends and holidays, as required- shift is on call, 24/7
Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and DOT health card
