Role Summary:
As our new Sr. Director technical product owner, you will be responsible for determining the strategy around marketing enterprise applications.

Essential Responsibilities:

The individual will be responsible for building our content management solution roadmap, identify opportunities to leverage economies of scale, rethink our architecture to establish the most cost-effective solutions and partner across the commercial horizontal to drive adoption of technology decisions. This also includes supporting the cross-practice platforms where applicable, supporting global delivery and operations of enterprise tool suite. You will also be responsible for building credible and effective relationships across executive leadership within each GE business, as well as within the commercial horizontal, driving adoption of horizontal initiatives and managing specific industry demand.

Essential Responsibilities:

As a marketing digital technology leader, you will engage customers at mid and senior level management and technical levels to develop/refine portfolio strategy, influence customer & industry direction and execute strategy.

As the product owner you will elevate how we engage with internal and external software businesses. You will be accountable for driving successful delivery of products from GE Software, making recommendations on extending software solutions, and representing General Electric to the outside market, including customers, partners and analysts.

In this role, you will:

  • Responsible for product line performance directly with generating additional revenue across all GE industries. Identifies and influences market trends and opportunities
  • Drives vision & strategy, roadmap and product lifecycle for sub business unit and its portfolio of products & solutions
  • Participate in events and industry associations to influence the direction for the business and technology in the segment
  • Be a domain/business expert for the portfolio to guide teams, establish/refine product management processes and build and mentor high performance team of Product Managers
  • Work cross functionally across engineering, marketing, sales, internal and external customers, analysts and senior management teams to formulate and execute the strategy
  • Establish and manage relationship across GE businesses & sub-businesses, partners and customers at director level and above and technical expert levels across industries and geographies
  • Establish strong working relationship with account managers, technical sales and user/developer community
  • Global travel required as necessary
  • This role is responsible for a large product or portfolio of products/solutions with typical revenue influence / target in the range of $50-200M USD per year.
  • Will have strong financial acumen and accountability
  • The leader will report to Executive Product Management Director and responsible to create strong working relationship & influence across product management, engineering and other stakeholder groups to successfully execute business strategy across GE businesses, partners and customers
  • Lead and develop a team of product managers who are business and domain experts
  • Will engage customers at director level and above as a trusted partner
  • Cross functional leadership to define and execute the vision and strategy

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
  • A minimum of 15 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across product lines.
  • GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed

    Eligibility Requirements: (Country Specific)

  • Must be willing to travel < 15%
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Van Buren, MI or Atlanta, GA
