Role Summary: As the Sr Director – Marketplaces/New Channels, you will be responsible for creating strong working Relationships/partnership & influence across Industry DT leaders and executive stakeholders to define the B2B product line technology strategy and delivery.
You will lead and manage mission-based product engineering teams to deliver business outcomes aligned to Industry priorities focused on Digital Commerce Marketplaces – including, development or deployment of technologies enabling new channel/non-traditional technology sales of products/services; includes design and development of secure, scalable integration design/framework between Saas, custom and/or internal hosted technologies.
As the Sr Director – Marketplaces/New Channels, you will be accountable for driving successful delivery of products across the Digital Customer Experience DT Horizonal. As a domain expert for your product line, you will partner with Industry technical program managers to understand Industry demands, product backlog, develop/refine product line portfolio strategy, and execute on that strategy to deliver business outcomes.
In this role, you will:
Responsible for product line solutions, and associated product line KPI’s – ensure outcomes for Industries are achieved
Identifies and influences market trends and opportunities
Drives vision & strategy, roadmap and product lifecycle for sub business unit and its portfolio of products & solutions
Participate in events and industry associations to influence the direction for the business and technology in the segment
Be a domain/business expert for the portfolio to guide teams, establish/refine product management processes and build and mentor high performance team of Product Managers
Work cross functionally across engineering, DT COE’s, internal and external customers & users, and senior management teams to formulate and execute the strategy
Establish and manage relationship across GE businesses & sub-businesses, partners and customers at director level and above and technical expert levels across industries and geographies
Establish strong working relationship with account managers, technical sales and user/developer community for product line technologies
Global travel required as necessary
This role is responsible for a large product or portfolio of products/solutions with typical revenue influence/ capability in the range of $200M to up to $1B USD per year
Will have strong financial acumen and accountability
This role is positioned as a senior leadership role in the Digital Technology Digital Customer Experience Practice, and be responsible to create strong working relationship & influence across product management, engineering and other stakeholder groups to successfully execute business strategy across GE businesses, partners and customers
Lead and develop a team of product managers who are business and domain experts
Will engage customers at director level and above as a trusted partner
Cross functional leadership to define and execute the vision and strategy
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 15 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across product lines
GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed
