Role Summary:
 
Baker Hughes, a GE company has an opening for a Monitoring and Optimization Engineer (Artificial Lift) to be based in Midland, TX or Tulsa, OK. 
 
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Proactively monitors Electrical Submersible Pumps and execute task based on different challenges.
  • Optimizes Wells production by improving ESP performance.
  • Under broad direction provides highly skilled level sales support and product application recommendations on product line.
  • Measures product performance and recommends design modifications to existing products.
  • Tracks prototype applications, field test results, and new product market introductions. Investigates unusual or unsatisfactory product performance to determine root cause and preventative action.
  • Performs customer technical presentations.
  • Provides technical consultation to customers on product / performance issues.
  • May be lead engineering/technical position in local area.
  • Handles special projects, as assigned.
  • Conducts all business activities in accordance to BHGE HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and BHGE Core Values.
     
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelors in Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience with ESPs.
  • Experience trouble shooting ESP wells.
  • Experience working directly with Customers
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products – specifically Excel. 
Desired Characteristics:
  • ESP reliability experience.
  • ESP applications experience.
  • ESP Troubleshooting.
  • Variable Speed drive experience.
  • Previous field experience.
