Role Summary:
The Lead Project Leadership Specialist will be responsible for the leadership of Flow & Process Technologies Nuclear Valve Projects to ensure operational excellence throughout the OTR (Order to Remittance) execution phases responsible for meeting quality, technical, commercial, cost and schedule objectives. The role will be responsible for the leadership of major projects with significant technical and commercial complexity.

Essential Responsibilities:
In the role of Lead Project Leadership Specialist, you will:

  • Be the primary customer interface responsible for leading kickoff internal meetings and at customer locations, status updates, and hosting customer visits/inspections
  • Lead resolution of technical, specification, and contract issues with global Commercial team and customers
  • Ensure customer satisfaction with detailed responses and coordination for any customer requests or issues
  • Manage the financial performance of projects with accountability for contribution margin through execution
  • Lead on-time delivery in accordance with contract required deliveries using detailed schedule management process and tools
  • Manage project risk issues including receivables, claims, contract changes, margin enhancement, and effective project closeout
  • Lead effective change management leveraging contract management and execution risk management of change
  • Be responsible for managing and leading Order to Remittance (OTR) matrix team in project execution including Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Logistics, Finance and Services

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Business from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project management, operations, manufacturing and/or engineering roles

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration or Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Experience working on the Nuclear market
  • Strong interpersonal, team building and leaderships skills
  • Strong skills in customer relationship building, facilitation, and matrix management
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Technical knowledge of control valves and safety valves
  • Experience with SAP Business System
  • Experience in Manufacturing operation environment
  • Microsoft suite proficiency
  • Six Sigma training or equivalent Quality Training (GE Employees ONLY)
  • Proven ability to effectively manage a matrix team / organization
  • Ability to anticipate events and develop adaptive strategies / remedies
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Sense of urgency in dealing with issues and tasks
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Ability to drive and manage change in a dynamic environment
