Role Summary: Reporting to our Commercial Director India - GE Mining is seeking an energetic and results focused Field Service Engineer for our OHV Mining business. Our Mining Business in India is engaged in the Product Services for GE Propulsion system used in mining industry, diagnostics, monitoring, maintenance and performance upgrades of GE system powered to the Off-Highway Vehicles.
Essential Responsibilities: The role is responsible to directly perform, strengthen GE product reliability of AC / DC fleets and the key responsibilities for this role are as follows:
- Directly support GE OHV field start-up - Document scheduled startups - Update component details into Erie database and reporting responsibilities - Monitor OHV fleet's operation and demonstrate best maintenance practices - Track field failure of GE components - Review and approve online e-Warranty for timely parts availability to the end-user - Maintain GE-OEM-Distributor inclusive work environment to meet end-user expectations - Assist Jupiter warranty repair/rebuild and parts fulfillment - Open to learning for relentless improvement and embrace GE values to simplify teamwork to solve customer issues. - Support business initiatives to expand exposure with cross-functional teams and support BEML proto launch program for BH190E and BH150E - proactively support team's effort for demonstrating productivity benefits inherent in OHV portfolio to leverage tender for GE business growth in a competitive market place
Qualifications/Requirements: - Experience in HEMM and expertise in OHV field service - Align GE's efforts to enhance OHV product service by demonstrating a great understanding of the product that simplifies end-users real time tasks and preventive maintenance issues - 3-5 years of experience in field service support, of which 3 years hands-on-experience - Proven knowledge, technical expertise in mining industry - Proven field experience & track record within a mining industry and technology provider - Ability to interface and influence all levels of GE-OEM-Distributor and customer’s organization - Proven customer relationship and negotiation skills - Written and verbal communication skills and analytical skills - Self-motivated with the ability to work without supervision - Supportive and "can do" attitude - No reservations on extensive travel to customer sites and HQ
