Role Summary: This role will take the lead on managing quality for the Embedded Solutions manufacturing locations in Shanghai Fengxian plant, CM – Flex, and Mumbai factory.
Essential Responsibilities: - Accountable for all EMBD manufacturing quality initiatives in Shanghai plant, Mumbai factory and provided support to CM - Flex. - Cooperate closely with the Supply Chain and Global Quality team to drive initiatives and meet global quality standards and targets in EMBD factories. - Oversee the improvement efforts for case reduction, cost of quality, internal PPM, Yield and quality improvement. - Responsible for the quality investment budget and completion of projects. - Drive culture change in quality org to put customer first and have quality embedded in everything we do. - Be the interface to end customers to get direct feedback on quality and improvement initiatives. - Engage with the post sales service team to drive RMA cycle time reductions and increase responsiveness on customer cases. - Team management responsibility for EMBD manufacturing quality in China. - Review in-process data from manufacturing processes and facilitate corrective and preventive action as appropriate. - Provide QMS support and the ISO/TL -9000 certification of the factories. - Partner with customer issue resolution team to identify CI opportunities. - Create executive presentation on factory quality performance. - Constantly seek, share, and implement best practices in the factories.
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business 8-10 years plus of Engineering, Quality and/or Operations Management experience Familiar with EMBD products and services Experienced in leading process improvements/RCAs/8D Strong analytical and quantitative skills Family with statistics and six sigma quality concepts Change agent with strong credibility and leadership & influencing skills Impatient to deliver Experience & passion for process development, change management and influencing Project Management GB/BB Certification and/or a proven education or work history in leading and implementing projects Experience implementing and influencing Clear understanding of the basic roles, functions, and products/services/repairs within IS Self-motivated and possess demonstrated ability to motivate others to achieve results Committed to process improvement Customer-focused in defining and establishing priorities Strong oral and written communication skills in English Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Strong presentation skills
