Essential Responsibilities: GE Distributed Power, Inc. seeks a Lead Financial Analyst: Manufacturing Cost & Inventory in Waukesha, Wisconsin to support the distributed power supply chain function, focusing on gas engines inventory management and cost analysis. Partner with business operations to drive cost out of the gas engines products. Lead the monthly closing process for site inventory, including closing the Oracle inventory modules and performing account reconciliations for inventory and revaluation accounts. Calculate and book the quarterly and annual inventory revaluations. Lead the annual physical inventory. Partner with the cost and operations teams to initiate process improvements, drive inventory metric improvements, ensure adherence to materials policies, audit cycle counting, and provide other inventory-related ad-hoc support and approvals.
Qualifications/Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Finance or Engineering (any field) and 3 years of related finance experience. Position also requires 3 years of experience with manufacturing finance or accounting for plant operations, including inventory revaluation (FIFO); 3 years of experience with financial Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) with inventory and financial modules; 2 years of experience with translating engineering Bills of Materials (BOMs) into financial costing; 1 year of experience with Visual Basic for financial analysis; and 1 year of experience with inventory database creation and maintenance.
