Role Summary:
The selected individual will be responsible for delivering highly available services through entirely automated processes.

Essential Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will have the vision to integrate across multiple systems, will understand upstream and downstream data considerations and will ensure continuity of Digital Thread. This individual will work independently and will be seen as a technical leader. In this role, the individual will be responsible for driving the design and development efforts related to architecture, scalability, availability and performance in alignment with the product/service roadmap. This person must have a proven track record of successful problem definition, decomposition, estimation. This role will require the selected individual to provide expertise in design, architecture, delivery and optimization as well as lead impact assessment and make decisions related to technology choices, design/architectural considerations and implementation strategy.

  • Expert in providing oversight, mentoring team members and leading large delivery efforts. Experienced in effectively delegating work.
  • Deep understanding of the market and competing 3rd party product offerings. Demonstrates the ability of benchmarking against competition.
  • Expert level skills in building value proposition with total customer focus.
  • Subject matter expert in processes and methodologies with ability to adapt and improvise in various situations.
  • Expert in navigating through ambiguity and prioritizing conflicting asks. Expert level skills in design, architecture and delivery, with an ability to take a deep dive in the implementation aspects if the situation demands.
  • Demonstrates expert level skills in collaboration with different stakeholders, influences decisions, ability to take strategic view.
  • Leads the efforts across the vendor product(s) suite and is an expert in enterprise solutions. Understands capability of 3rd party enterprise solutions in order to make sound decisions around configuring software vs engineering software.
  • Understanding of business process to determine how to optimize both process and utilization of enterprise applications, and ability to influence key cross-functional stakeholders on appropriate course of action.
  • Leads design of programmatic capabilities for all aspects of service operability. Expert in core data structures and interfaces for information exchange across platforms

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • BS in Information Sciences, Computer Science, or other related discipline.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience delivering/supporting large-scale implementations project with integrations to multiple applications.

    Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience working with web applications such as Java, PHP, Python, JQueryUI, Ajax, etc.
  • Experience with Predix platform
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent analytical skills – strong problem-solving skills, communicates in a clear and succinct manner and effectively evaluates information/data to make decisions; anticipates obstacles and develops plans to resolve.
  • Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint.
  • Proven ability to execute high-profile projects and to provide thought leadership to the organization.
  • Experience with Service-oriented architectures.
  • Experience with Financial Systems and SOX.
  • Proven track record of finding and utilizing new technologies/tools to solve complex businesses problems.
  • Excellent team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources.
  • Understanding of database technologies such as Oracle, MySQL or equivalent.
  • Change oriented – actively generates process improvements; supports and drives change, and confronts difficult circumstances in creative ways.
  • Excellent track record of understanding and interest in current and emerging technologies demonstrated through training, job experience and/or industry activities.
