Role Summary:
The Senior Project Lead will be responsible for scoping, coordinating, and executing multiple product improvement, feature addition and enhancement projects to enable improved service, quality, lead-time, reduced cost, and sales growth.



Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, the Senior Project Lead will drive cross-functional collaboration, leveraging product management strategy, design and bill of material audits performed by manufacturing, technology, requisition engineering, and IT teams to identify areas of opportunity. You will work with the cross-functional team to assess the findings of the audits, scope and prioritize projects to improve lead-time, quality, service, and cost.  

The Senior Project Lead will lead a team of engineers in executing design projects to extend, improve, and add product features. You will be responsible for schedule, budget, and report out to the leadership team.

As the Senior Project Lead, you will:

  • Lead a team of design engineers to execute multiple product enhancement projects
  • Ensure robust design practices are maintained and changes to products are robustly evaluated and documented
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, product management, and IT
  • Encourage an environment of collaboration and open dialogue
  • Have a high level of attention to quality including ensuring accurate bill of materials, drawings, and feature logic are provided to the cross-functional teams
  • Use Agile principles to maximize your effectiveness


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical experience

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability and willingness to travel 25% of the time

Desired Characteristics:
  • Experience with design, test and analysis tools required to design and evaluate Switchboard designs
  • Sound knowledge of UL standards for switchboards and panelboards
  • Knowledge of how requisition engineering is structured and the responsibilities of both requisition engineering and technology
  • Ability to assess risk, establish a plan of action to evaluate and eliminate these risks
  • Experience in design, analysis, and test of the AutoQ, KR Main, AFCI / GFCI platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with proven relationships and a collaborative approach
  • Demonstrated use of six sigma tools
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
