Role Summary:
The HID Business Development Manager is responsible for selling the FTA portfolio and associated products in all Europe, including Russia. This role is responsible for managing and expanding existing accounts within an established geographic territory, as well as cooperating with local account managers in others to HID/forensics business (FTA, Kitting, etc). Interface with factory operations to optimize product and Kit design at the best price.



Essential Responsibilities:

  • Generating proposals, preparing sales quotations, planning customer meetings
  • Providing leadership in market analysis and development/execution of strategies and action plans to drive product development. Follow up NPI development end ensure that they are fit for purpose for the market
  • Setting up, evaluating, managing and optimizing the distributor network in the territory to ensure a strong depth of knowledge and focus of distributors on the HID market.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of product and technical knowledge of GE and competitive products.
  • Sales negotiation and deal closure at the customer, interfacing with all key buying influencers such as direct users of the product, lab managers, directors, law enforcement officers and other stakeholders.
  • Achieve annual and quarterly achievement of multiple order and revenue targets through accurate monthly and quarterly forecasting, by prioritizing selling time to generate sales volume, achieve account penetration and complete territory coverage.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain long term relationships with stakeholders and decision makers at all levels and in varying disciplines within customer organizations.
  • Develop account penetration strategies for key target and competitive accounts and communicating current market intelligence back to the business, along with field concerns, issues and requirements.



Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Experience in consumables sales and/or consultative sales in the EU region including strategic selling and negotiation in a complex sales environment involving multiple decision-makers/influencers
  • Experience selling into DNA crime laboratories, law enforcement and state or local government agencies is highly desirable
  • Proficiency in computer skills in Microsoft Office products
  • Willingness to travel extensively within your specified geographic region with overnight stays as well as to sales meetings and tradeshows

  • Experience interfacing with both internal team members and external customers as a part of a solution-based sales process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex issues into simple messages
  • Solid process orientation, demonstrated resource management and allocation experience, and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Language skills - English, German, French
