Role Summary: The Director – Program Management will be responsible for providing IT leadership and program execution in support of Power Commercial initiatives. This role will drive successful delivery of global initiatives and enabling technologies to simplify the wing-to-wing commercial process which deliver profitable growth for the Power organization. In addition, this role manages Commercial IT program office, interface with operations and financial teams to drive operations excellence.
In this role, you will:
Ensures that development deliverables meet the “Definition of Done”
Manages risk and dependencies between organizations
Defines and implement processes for coordination and communication between organizations and with GE stakeholders
Works closely with product release management to ensure that Power Commercial Digital product deliverables are coordinated with corresponding deliverables from other Power organizations
Establishes governance structure that identifies key performance indicators, sets milestones, and establishes a reporting cadence
Tracks and monitors program status and metrics to ensure milestones are met, and internal and external delivery commitments are met
Leads cross-discipline teams to establish an integrated plan to deliver team commitments
Ensures ongoing communication of progress against program objectives
Proactively identifies and resolves issues and makes recommendations for improvements to existing processes
Ensures that the product development process abides by all defined cross-discipline standards and all compliance and regulatory requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 10+ years of experience along with established leadership across the discipline and function
5+ years of IT project leadership and change management experience
2+ years of Commercial experience
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills
5+ years of Marketing experience
Advanced Technical / Engineering Degree or MBA
Proactive responsible individual, able to set own action plans
Demonstrated experience with quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills
Certificate in Project Management
Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
Strong customer focus and ability to manage expectations
Green Belt or Black Belt Certified (GE Employees Only)
Solid facilitation and presentation skills to lead design sessions with business and technical audiences to come up with IT solutions
Demonstrated experience working in a global, matrixed environment with global development teams
Proven track record of effectively prioritizing and solving operational and strategic issues and delivering high quality IT implementations on schedule and budget
Strong leadership skills - ability to establish a rapport with the business stakeholders, energize large global teams, and drive the Change Acceleration Process (CAP)
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, etc.
Effective working in a complex matrix environment
Ability to effectively communicate at all levels
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Experience with an Agile Development methodology
Ability to manage and work on multiple projects concurrently
Business acumen and proven ability to build relationships with business, client, and external teams
Strong analytical skills with the ability to creatively translate business requirements into technical solutions
