Role Summary:
The Advanced Lead Software Engineer will report to the Software Manager and will be in charge of requirement definition, design, implementation, verification on assigned sw components.

Essential Responsibilities:
In this role you will:

  • Identify and understand the customer software requirements
  • Create and modify internal software documentation complying with customer requirements and with software guidelines
  • Allocate customer software requirements to lower-level subsystems
  • Design, develop and test complex software in C#, Java, C following internal standards and in accordance with applicable software development methodologies and release processes
  • Collaborate and add value through participation in code reviews, providing comments and suggestions
  • Perform technical root cause analysis and outline corrective actions for given problems
  • Work collaboratively and professionally with other engineers in cross functional teams to achieve goals
  • Participate in product and/or application definition activities including feature analysis and system tradeoffs

    Qualifications/Requirements:
    • Master Degree: Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science (Other areas could be considered)
    • Consistent experience in software design, development and testing
    • Experience in defining architecture and design software solutions using UML
    • Excellent Computer Science fundamentals: data structures, algorithm design, problem solving, object-oriented, design and complexity analysis
    • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as C#, Java and in the utilization of application framework
    • Proficient knowledge of Database management
    • Good knowledge of testing and coverage
    • Demonstrates proficient knowledge and utilization of engineering tools (configuration management systems, build processes, debuggers, emulators, simulators and logic analyzers)
    • Knowledge of documentation management tools
    • Self-motivation and ability to work independently
    • Good organization skills and record management
    • Capability of working collaboratively in a strong team environment
    • Fluency in Italian and English required
    • EU Work Permit

      Desired Characteristics:
      • Experience with IBM Rhapsody
      • Experience with Oracle 11g release 2
      • Experience with DOORS
      • Experience with Synergy
      • Experience with Telerik Test Studio
      • Experience with National Instruments Labview
