Role Summary:
The Rotating Component Design Lead Engineer is an expert in design and mechanical integrity of Engine Rotating and Structure components, both in NPI and post certification phase.
Specifically in this role he/she will be the engineer responsible (Hardware Owner) for the assigned components already certified manufactured in the Rivalta plant- Rotating parts CoE and he will interface with Engineering Technical Leader and with Supply Chain (Manufacturing, Quality and Sourcing).

Essential Responsibilities:
In this role you will support different activities.

Production Support:

  • Assessment and substantiation of non-conformances, proper document them
  • Requirement setting and support the manufacturing Validation process
  • Definition and delivery of repair procedures
  • Support to Process Improvement and DPU reduction projects
  • Definition and substantiation of Engineering Change activities

Support to Priority Part Review (PPRs) activities:

  • Be part of the engineering Team during all phases of the process, up to the resolution of any finding and closure of associated actions


Field Support:

  • Support field investigations, processing of analysis models and delivery of technical reports to support the Life Cycle Engineering Team.
  • Support to Repair Engineering Team is requested to update Repair Notes documentation
  • Assess and substantiate Reuse Deviation Report and repair scheme validations.

    Qualifications/Requirements:
    • Master Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering
    • Previous working experience in Mechanical Design
    • Good capability of running FE structural analysis (static/dynamic -anysy code), of conducting mechanical assessment (LCF/HCF/creep), of performing quick hand calculation (e.g. stack up)
    • Ability to interface with a multi-functional team, not in a direct reporting relationship, including technical people from different departments/companies/research centers
    • Self-directed and motivated
    • Open mindset and strong team player
    • Italian and English fluent written and spoken
    • EU Work Permit

      Desired Characteristics:
      • Basic Project management skills (even with a basic use of Microsoft Project or equivalent tool)
      • Passion and commitment for technology
      • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
      • Ability to guide and influence others in a global environment
