The Lead ICS Tuner is responsible for managing the site controls team and ensuring controls commissioning stays ahead of the site schedule. The person utilize experience and expertise to solve problems, set goals and objectives for their team, and drive controls acceptance testing. The Lead ICS Tuner reports to the Commissioning Manager.
Maintain 35 loops per day metric
On-time completion of controls acceptance testing
Perform system tuning while mentoring ICS engineers
Evaluate team performance to identify individual strengths and weaknesses
Coordinate Vendor activities on site as applied to system controls
Maintain accurate reporting on ICS commissioning status
Lead daily tailboard discussions to ensure team focus on activities and safety Key roles
Develop and manage Site Controls Team
Work with customer and GE support teams to drive timely issue resolution
Maintain good relationships with supporting team, Engineering, Salem, Management, Partners, Vendors
Establish customer relationship to provide clear communications for technical controls issues
Manage site controls team to deliver a complete, accurate, functioning control system to the customer
Complete required documentation, provide redline markups, and collect and communicate Lessons Learned
Complete plant tuning to provide “no alarm” parameter control during normal operation and load swings
Assist Commissioning Manager with operational workarounds as issues arise at site
Execute duties in compliance with GE EHS plan
Minimum of 5 years ICS commissioning experience with tuning of the BOP
