Role Summary: GE Power in Israel is looking for a Service Director to lead the local operation, meet business, contractual and customer needs across the organization, manage complex issues, be involved in short and long-term planning and execution, manage a team and contribute to the overall business strategy and financial results.
Essential Responsibilities: As the country Service Director you shall be responsible for the following: • Provide an overview of customers, contracts and opportunities within your portfolio, including O&M activities. • Profit and loss (orders, sales, margin, cash) for the Power Services business, including parts, repairs, field services and projects. • Drive operational excellence on Fulfilment 5 metrics – EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety), Quality, Cycle, Cost and Productivity • Manage customer relationships at multiple levels of the organization, providing local leadership presence • Track performance in key areas such as EHS, customer satisfaction, productivity, outage planning, Field Engineering training and talent development • Drive improvement through identification and implementation of corrective and preventative actions • Establish and drive effective targets for Injury & Illness (I&I), near misses, observations, etc. • Understand market trends & drivers, and effectively communicate risks, opportunities, changes, and key gap closure activities • Team with Sales to develop a long-term growth strategy for your customers and activities, and drive Inquiry to Order (ITO) deal development, long term strategic partnerships, and deal closure • Support short and long-term business planning • Work closely with global Services leadership to investigate, analyse and resolve customer issues in a timely and efficient manner • Develop service leadership pipeline • Responsible for the hiring, training and professional development of the team • Responsible for backlog, forecasting, pipeline and weekly financial tracker updates for Power Services financials • Own and drive cash targets and resolve payment issues
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business, MBA – an advantage. • Knowledge and experience working within the Power or Infrastructure industry, including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and/or aeroderivatives. • Previous experience in a customer facing role, working with the customer management team, including contract negotiation and managing multi-year service agreements. • Previous P&L leadership experience, including short and long-term strategic planning • Strong quality background, Black Belt certified or equivalent quality certification • Previous experience working in a global company • Previous managerial and leadership experience • Fluent in Hebrew and English, both verbal and written
