Role Summary:
Responsible for increasing supplier plant efficiency by improving production throughput of key suppliers implementing lean methods with an objective to reduce Lead time, Inventory, production cost and increase throughput.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Lead a cross-functional team of GE and Supplier to streamline the manufacturing and material movement process & eliminated non-value added activities
• Design floor layout changes to facilitate the free flow of product parts from production cells to assembly area
• Update Plan for Every Part (PFEP) logistics database of welds, brakes, jigs, metals based on demand & inventory
• Establish and implement KPI’s for various manufacturing departments to help measure Managing Daily Improvement (MDI)
• Implemented visual Pull System reduced lead time & inventory
• Implement Just-in-Time (JIT) techniques to optimize throughput and lower warehouse costs Facilitated motion kaizen and 2P events through multiple value streams (VS
• Manage a VS transformation utilizing Kanban, PFEP, 5S, 2P, EPEI, finished goods and pull system
• Create a layered audit to ensure sustainment of product flow, standard work and problem solving
• Facilitate lean enterprise VS transformation utilizing work flow cycles, integration events, single point of initialization, visual pitch and takt time planning
• Deploy structured problem solving to analyze inventory, determine root causes and implement solutions to reduce inventory. Improved order policies, Plan for Every Part (PFEP) and supplier Kanban

• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited and reputed college or university in Engineering + specialization in Materials Management / MBA Preferred
• Certified Lean Black Belt
• 7-10 years of industry experience with exposure to project sourcing /global supply chain projects and demonstrated capability.,

• Demonstrated technical aptitude and business acumen
• Demonstrated financial acumen and ability to perform cost assessments and analysis
• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), SAP, ORACLE Systems, COPICS, BAAN and/or other purchasing systems
