Role Summary:
The Lead Machine Engineer - Configuration Management is in support of GE Additive. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities:
In this role you will:
  • Develop and implement systems to manage equipment configuration for new additive machine technology
  • Document technical data generated by the assigned project is consistent with engineering policies
  • Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments
  • Communicate and coordinate with technical team members to ensure effective and efficient means for implementing engineering changes
  • Utilize experience or expertise to solve problems
  • Develop and execute objectives for self and others
  • Affect short-term and some long-term business goals
  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements
  • Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project

    Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology from an accredited college or university (OR a High School Diploma / GED with a minimum 5 years of applicable configuration control experience with complex systems)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Configuration Management position in Aerospace systems, Healthcare diagnostics equipment, machine tool, or other complex system OEM.

  • Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Team oriented and ability to work in a high paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • PC proficiency
  • Experience managing configuration of complex systems from suppliers, to manufacturing,
