Role Summary: We are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join the Gilboa Hydro Power Plant Operation and Maintenance team. As a Lead Electrical Engineer, you shall be responsible for leading a team of Electrical Technicians, supporting on-going electrical maintenance activities, taking part in preparing and executing planned activities as well as supporting the implementation of tools and systems, designed to achieve targets derived from contractual, technical and commercial obligations.
Essential Responsibilities: • Provide day to day leadership to the Electrical Technicians team for all electrical maintenance activities to retain an optimal availability rate of the hydro station equipment • Ensure all electrical maintenance activities are identified and executed in compliance with strategy approved by the Maintenance Manager, aligned with contractual obligation and safety regulations • Review the routine maintenance planning and execution of relevant electrical equipment • Manage subcontractors during planned and unplanned activities/inspections • Work closely with GE field service and inspection personnel to ensure coordination and cooperation between all parties • Manage, train and guide GE O&M employees, and periodically assess their ability and potential in relevant scope of work • Demonstrate good organizational skills and the ability to manage local contractors during planned and unplanned inspections • Analyze incident reports and implement necessary corrective actions • Support and implement relevant training for site staff and periodically assess the team’s ability and potential in the field of Electrical Maintenance. • Ensure appropriate tools and equipment are available on site for electrical maintenance activities to be carried out as per good engineering practices • Successfully combine office and field work • Analyze operational data related to contractual guarantees and obligations and recommend corrective actions when needed • Advise and assist the Customer in planning and executing relevant maintenance activities and co-ordinate with the Customer/Operator and GE personal the preparation and planning of inspections • Review electrical spare parts for daily activities • Ensure that GE’s suppliers and Contractors comply with all applicable Environmental, Health & Safety requirements • Attain broad understanding of diagrams and schematics, P&ID, KKS code, etc.
Qualifications/Requirements: 1. Electrical Engineer 2. High Voltage License (250A X3), certified to work in Israel 3. At least 4 years’ experience working in an industrial facility - preferably industrial manufacturing plant or power station 4. Experience with heavy rotating electrical equipment, turbines, HV motors, AC Gen 40MW+ 5. Experience with power management controllers, Cos-Ø regulators and modules, frequency(Hz) based speed controllers 6. Experience with HV transformers, HV & MV sub stations 7. Familiar with IECO regulations for power stations – an advantage 8. Ability to lead a team of employees and subcontractors 9. Willingness to work at heights 10. Knowledge in Excel, outlook, PPS 11. Fluent Hebrew and good English 12. Able to be on-call/work on weekends and holidays
