Role Summary: The Principal Analytics Engineer will be a key thought leader driving all levels of strategy, vision, & execution to deliver on the mission of a world-class Finance data analytics platform across GE. You will be responsible for driving the Analytics strategy by applying strong Finance, Data, Visualization, & Analytics knowledge with a product mindset. You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including business subject-matter-experts, & C-suite customers to deliver meaningful outcomes.
Accountable to handle multiple simultaneous projects across global GE businesses to drive critical initiatives representing the key Finance functional areas and key business processes including GL, AP, AR, PO, Cash, Order Management, Project Accounting, etc.
Driving operational excellence by using data and analytics to drive visibility, insights and actions to facilitate decision making in sourcing and supply chain functions
Driving excellence in finance using advanced data & analytics capabilities
Enabling customer-oriented analytics offerings You will:
Act as thought leader for the use of data and analytics to drive critical business decisions, business strategy and able to serve as coach / mentor for data analysts on the team
Lead cross-functional teams, and provide business / functional perspective to data science projects, and support problem scoping and structuring
Lead program management, including operationalization of analytic methods and products in functional settings, and drive agile development of new methods and capabilities
Ensure customer adoption & drive consumption of analytics, and maximize usage and use of analytics with customers
Maintain effective working relationship with business leaders, stakeholders, users and partners to integrate programs into overall strategic objectives
Conduct project reviews, feasibility, prioritization, initiation, execution, user acceptance, operationalization for all project work related to the data science program(s)
Partner with shared technical and business resources to effectively deliver and support solutions
Responsible for financials and people management activities including budget, technology planning and sourcing, vendor management, recruiting, performance management and compensation
Effectively communicate (i.e. status, issues, and escalations) to leadership and other various levels of the organization
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or in a quantitative field or equivalent
8+ years of experience working in Information Technology
4+ years of experience with global enterprise data & analytics (e.g. Finance ERP, Supply Chain information)
Must be willing to work out of an office in Cincinnati OH, or Budapest

Familiarity with Big Data technologies like Pivotal Greenplum, HDFS
Familiarity with large and complex enterprise technology ecosystems (ERPs, PLMs, MES)
Experience as a techno-functional senior ERP consultant with a background in Finance modules including AP, AR, GL, Cash, Order Management, Accounting etc; Oracle and SAP preferred.
Previous experience with Oracle/SAP ERP implementations
Familiarity with data ingestion tools like Talend, Informatica, Spark stream & HVR
Familiarity with cloud platform technologies like CloudFoundry
Strong influencing and executive communication skills
Demonstrated ability to lead and work in a matrix organization structure
Highly self-motivated, able to work independently and accommodate multiple time zones
Bias towards action, able to maintain focus on priorities in a complex environment
Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt Certification a plus
