Role Summary:
As VP Digital Product Management you'll own P&L and strategy for platform product portfolio in this high-profile, high-potential business segment. You'll build and mentor a team of high performance Product Managers to define and execute strategy, establish and achieve ambitious outcomes. You’ll partner with the Services & Solutions and Commercial Sales teams to identify and capitalize on customer opportunities, develop and evolve platform strategy and deliver platform outcomes for the business

Essential Responsibilities:
In this role, you will:
  • Help develop and manage strong platform product management portfolio
  • Be responsible for business segment targets on orders, revenue, cost & margin.
  • Influence platform roadmap, working with internal product leaders and external customers to maximize commercial opportunity
  • Benchmark industry best practices, and contemporize product management approach for optimal platform success.
  • Make sound investment decisions based on market opportunities, market trend, risks, competitive landscape and strategic partnerships. Be responsible for roadmap, product lifecycle and product management processes.
  • Be a regular speaker in events and active in industry associations to influence and shape the direction for the business and technology in the segment.
  • Build and mentor high performance team of Product Managers.
  • Work cross functionally across sales, internal/external customers, analysts, marketing, engineering and senior management teams to formulate and execute the strategy.
  • Global travel required as necessary.
  • Will have strong financial acumen and accountability.
  • Will engage customers at executive level as a trusted partner


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a STEM major
  • A minimum of 10 years of software industry experience in product management/strategy and/or software development/engineering
  • GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed

Eligibility Requirements:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Must be willing to work out of an office located in Cincinnati (location flexible)


Desired Characteristics:
  • Strong people management experience in a technical field
  • Aviation experience and airline/airport exposure
  • MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively drive portfolio and investment decision to balance customer needs, install base requirements (refresh) and long term enterprise differentiation
  • Track record of evangelizing concepts beyond current offerings and driving business model innovation (product, service and delivery innovations)
  • Proven ability to make strategic partnering decisions for the product line including the creation of new inbound/outbound channels
  • Expertise in monitoring and shaping industry dynamics, trends, and policies and to shape a culture that proactively uses market intelligence to drive significant growth
  • Track record of success in setting & driving strategy for the organization in relation to upstream and downstream effects. Implementing and driving program/product strategy within the organization
  • Proven ability to set and change direction at the enterprise level by building and using direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas and leverages chains of indirect influence
  • Knows how to effectively manage risk and uncertainty for self and team. Makes decisions with confidence when problems or solutions are not 100% defined
