Role Summary:
The mission consist to take charge as a supervisor of the mechanical, piping & instrumentation installation of the HRSG equipment & associated auxiliaries in combined cycle plant.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Reporting to the HRSG Construction Manager.
  • Review heavy lift plan for HRSG modules & drums.
  • Supervise assembly of main & secondary steel structure, access platforms.
  • Supervise HRSG casing panel, field insulated joints installation to avoid hot spots.
  • Supervise HRSG modules, drums installation.
  • Supervise HRSG piping installation, proper positioning of valves & instruments, welding, NDT, heat treatment up to hydro test & preservation.
  • Prepare hydro test plan & supervise execution.
  • Prepare flushing of piping systems, chemical clean, air or steam blows to meet cleanliness requirements.
  • Supervise safety valves hydro plugs removal.
  • Perform final audit of HRGS before GT first fire.
  • Supervise piping thermal insulation.
  • Supervise paint application.
  • Provide technical recommendation to the sub-contractor on installation technique, tools, resources.
  • Participate to site coordination meeting and to schedule progress review.
  • Perform detailed material inventory of material & report shortages.
  • Review civil work, mechanical, piping interfaces conformity against drawing & specifications.
  • Anticipate & organize pre-fabrication and installation activities; prepare work plan.
  • Review welding, NDT, heat treatment documentation conformity with PED directive & with NoBo.
  • Share Lessons Learned and best practices.
  • Provide technical issues resolution with GE engineering using GE tools (Engineering Request) and follow up action plan.
  • Perform final & cleanliness inspection of critical systems.
  • Order missing or damaged material and follow up material requests.
  • Document quality plan & inspection sheets timely and follow up red marked-up documentation.
  • Attend systems walk down for turn over to commissioning, follow up punch list item resolution.
  • Document means (personnel man-hours per discipline, cranes, scaffolding…) utilized during installation for future budget purpose.
  • Document non conformity, keep log, document cost of non-quality.
  • Issue progress report to the Site Management.
  • Issue end of assignment report and edit Lessons Learned.

  • Fluent in English and Portuguese.
  • Team player.
  • At least 4 years experience in Construction activities of HRSG's.
  • Knowledge of welding and NDT (Non Destructive Tests).
  • Engineer graduation.
  • CREA registration.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage sub-contractor.
  • Strong EHS understanding and leadership.

Desired Characteristics:
  • Preferable from Sergipe state.
