Role Summary:
Responsible for maintaining accurate CMDB of all active circuits and network equipment to include: maintaining GE internal billing account, accurate supplier contract relationship to the asset, simplification initiatives, & financial budget accountability.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Participate in supplier & services development to ensure we aligned asset classification and abilities in the CMDB.
  • Implement effective process measures & controls to support our Network services by identifying. supporting teams input requirements.
  • Act as CMDB owner and point of contact for all network assets.
  • Maintain/Assess equipment lease lifecycle for renewal or return of equipment.
  • Lead identification of process & tools improvements, facilitate process workouts, and drive overall process simplification & implementations.
  • Improve processes to ensure data accuracy to support financial & operational needs.
  • Review & participate in financial review process and manage service budget.
  • Identify underutilized assets for cost reductions.
  • Provide ITIL Process & IT technical thought leadership.
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships across teams to ensure successful execution and delivery of strategic initiatives.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, or other technical related field, OR in lieu of a degree: a HS diploma/GED and a minimum 10 years of IT experience or equivalent military experience
  • Minimum 7 years of IT experience with specific focus on Infrastructure technology or supporting enterprise IT environment at a fortune 500 company.
  • Additional 2 years’ experience in quality, program or project management, or similar disciplines.

    Eligibility Requirements:

    Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with Tangoe TEM system.
  • Strong negotiation skills, provide leadership to process improvement programs
  • Self-directed individual with the ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational skills and clear thinking
  • Ability to meet objectives by influencing and engaging others globally as required
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Comfortable communicating at all levels
  • Demonstrates customer focus and builds strong customer relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, makes data driven decisions
  • Financial management and budgeting skills
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma and Fastworks principles
  • Knowledge of ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) principles, ITIL certification
