Role Summary: Finance is looking for an experienced Senior Controller to provide financial leadership to drive a very positive impact on GE’s business.
The Sr. Technical Controllership Manager fosters accountability for Finance and GE Digital priorities. The role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional area of expertise, and be involved in long-term planning.
In this role you will:
Provide technical accounting guidance to business leaders regarding complex financial accounting and reporting issues and transaction structuring
Interpret and implement GE General Accounting Procedures (GAP) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP)
Key contact for Corporate, Other Business Units and external auditors
Provide expertise to the business in the following areas: revenue recognition, business acquisitions/dispositions, leasing and capitalization of assets.
Develop and provide accounting training as necessary
Assess and communicate the impact to the business of all new accounting standards.
Manage/support the business teams in preparing quarterly accounting documentation and preparation of appropriate accounting procedures and policies
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
At least 8 years of experience in a Big 4 Public Accounting firm
At least 3 years of progressive accounting experience within a large multi-national company

Must be willing to work out of an office located in San Ramon, CA
Certified Public Accountant is preferred
