Essential Responsibilities: Design and build the next generation of applications used to drive the clinical workflows within a hospital setting. Responsible for providing technical leadership and defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure. Work with Product Line Leaders (PLLs) to understand product requirements & vision. Translate requirements / vision into prioritized list of user stories and deliver to required timelines and quality standards. Drive increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse. Support process improvements which guide the development, sustaining & support activities. Coach, mentor and lead the team. Drive world-class quality in the development and support of products. Engage subject matter experts in successful transfer of complex domain knowledge. Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques. Write code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project, utilizing techniques like pair programming, to ensure the highest quality code. Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing and code quality automation and support continuous-integration process. Understand performance parameters and assess application performance. Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using technology chosen. Share information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness.
Qualifications/Requirements: The primary requirements are a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors [Science, Technology, Engineering (any) and Math] and 5 years of progressively responsible post-Bachelor’s degree experience in related software development occupation. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors [Science, Technology, Engineering (any) and Math] and 3 years of experience in related software development occupation. The position also requires 3 years experience with Java or Java Script; 3 years experience with Agile/scrum methodology; 3 years experience applying principles of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques; 3 years multi-threading experience; 3 years object oriented experience; 3 years network protocols experience; 3 years web technologies experience; and 3 years configuration management experience.
