Role Summary:
The VCP Program manager is responsible for Product Cost Reduction activities across DCAR performance ECG segment. This includes identify Product Cost Reduction opportunities; Ensure appropriate resources be assigned to VCP projects based on business impact; Lead cross functional team on program planning and drive execution. This role is also expected to be an advocator to bring in best practices to ensure product quality, cost and on time delivery.

Essential Responsibilities:
1. Identify Product Cost Reduction opportunities for DCAR performance ECG segment through various meanings, includes but not limited to PPV, MDV, leverage volume and platforming.
2. Drive clear priorities based on business impact; Work with Site leader & Functional managers to ensure appropriate resources be assigned to projects
3. Regularly reporting the overall site VCP progress as well as specific programs to leadership/stakeholders at various reviews and operating-mechanisms
4. Solves complex and ambiguous problems leading the strategic and forward-thinking cross-functional program execution including (but not limited to) concept discussion, program execution, clinical and pilot trials, supply chain integration into production and product field delivery with product sales and service
5. Create a highly engaged, energized cross functional VCP team
6. Working with functional managers to ensure functional core team member is leveraging the experience and best practices that exist within each function

Qualifications/Requirements:
1. Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Automation or Biomedical Engineering)
2. 5 years program management/product development experience
3. Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional project teams and an ability to drive project design plans to completion satisfying quality, performance, schedule and budget
4. Demonstrated understanding/experience with the product life cycle management, transfer programs, product cost reduction programs or other cost productivity projects.
5. Experience in HW system design
6. Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing resources, timing and quality of outcomes
7. Demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills
8. Demonstrated facilitation and negotiation skills in driving closure on product/program-related decisions/issues
9. Strong written and oral communication skills

Desired Characteristics:
1. Demonstrated experience driving variable cost productivity (VCP) and Inventory Carrying Value (ICV) reduction to enable optimized product margins
2. Healthcare industry experience developing products within an FDA regulated environment
3. Strategic planner and thinker with ability to drive change across the segment products
4. Sound technical and domain experience in at least one functional technology area
5. Demonstrated experience on global product releases throughout the entire NPI cycle
6. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
