Essential Responsibilities:
You will be a member of the team responsible for the development of our next generation CARESCAPE patient monitoring products.



You will be expected to:

  • Specify functionality in cooperation with cross-functional teams
  • Satisfy customer needs by designing and developing advanced software components. Lead complex design.
  • Work as an active member of a collaborative and multi-disciplinary Agile team
  • Conduct and participate in design reviews
  • Perform testing and verification activities as per team priorities
  • Create and maintain design documentation
  • Interact seamlessly in a cross-functional, multi-cultural, global environment


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related computer field
  • Substantial experience in developing software for complex systems
  • Hands-on experience in object oriented design, and ability to work independently with large-scale C++ codebase
  • Self-starter and quick learner
  • Demonstrated engineering curiosity and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge on configuration management tools
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral
  • Legally authorized to work in Finland and willing to work in our Helsinki, Finland facility full-time


Desired Characteristics:
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related computer field
  • Experience in leading peers throughout product development life cycle
  • Demonstrated knowledge and use of design patterns
  • Hands-on experience and interest in Linux OS and Linux development environment
  • Experience in UI development frameworks
  • Experience in embedded software development
  • Test-driven design and development experience
  • Continuous integration, unit testing, and integration testing
  • Experience in Test Automation frameworks
  • Experience in Agile way of working in a Scrum Master or Product Owner role
  • Team or project leadership experience
  • Working knowledge of tools: configuration management (Git etc.), defect tracking (ClearQuest, Rally etc.), and requirements management (Doors etc.)
