Role Summary: Responsible for independently developing build and release procedures for GE networks. Skilled in developing and maintaining build and configuration management. Utilizes automation to ensure consistent and stable design implementation. Collaboration with immediate and extended teams, site contacts, and vendors in the planned releases of new network products. Hands-on site network design based upon a published standard. Build and configuration of network switches, firewalls, WLAN at GE sites.
Contributes to the team and works independently.
Breaks down problems and estimates time for quality related tasks. Increases task level and takes on multiple projects at one time.
Becoming skilled with various configuration management, build management and continuous integration tools and methodologies.
Understands the importance of Build and Release as part of development life cycle and with reference to continuous integration process.
Expertise and knowledge in writing automation scripts for IT infrastructure build and release processes.
Becoming skilled with SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
Hands-on site network design for LAN, WLAN, and Firewalls , bill of material creation, installation and configuration.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) or strong experience in lieu of degree.

Hands-on technical experience installing and configuring LAN and WAN infrastructure, wireless networking and firewalls.
Strong team player and problem solver – collaborates well with others and actively incorporates input from various sources.

Must be willing to work out of a GE Digital hub site.

Proven ability to execute on large-scale global programs composed of multiple projects or work streams.
Cisco Certified Network Associate preferred but not required.
