Role Summary: This is an engineering role associated with the jet engine component repair process. The position requires understanding of engineering concepts, methods and procedures. You will work in a team environment as a leader and coach of line technicians to assure compliance to approved procedures.
Essential Responsibilities: -Own the assigned products' repair process from induction for repairs to delivery to customer. -Manage and co-own, with a team facilitator, a direct team of line technicians to assure compliance to approved processes and procedures. -Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. -Resolve day to day production challenges through the application of acquired expertise and introducing controls to prevent recurrences. -Lead cross functional teams in root cause analysis, and error prevention. -Support process improvement initiatives to reduce cycle time, product cost and manufacturing losses. -Employ lean six sigma rigors within the cell.
Qualifications/Requirements: -Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering -2-3 years of experience in manufacturing environment is required. -Prefer Aviation/Aerospace experience. -Relevant internship experience is highly desirable.
