Role Summary: The Product General Manager will be responsible for leading the full scope of product management activities for the ~$80M Ultrasound Technology product line. In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization in order to create a long-term profitable business strategy, driving organic and inorganic growth to double the product line’s revenue over the GPB period.
Be the accountable and responsible cross functional business leader creating short term success while establishing the long term profitable growth strategy for the Ultrasound Technology product groups through collaborating and directing all functional stakeholders as supply chain, marketing, sales, engineering, finance and services teams.
As a true General Manager, be accountable for all operational metrics within product group; set direction and implement cross functional improvement plans to meet the committed business plan as one team.
Understand the product marketplace; know the competition and the product strengths and weaknesses to define the multi- generational product plan (MGPP).
Provide leadership to direct reports in product management and project management and sub teams; including coaching, staffing, training, evaluation, and performance management.
Partner with the regions establishing regional go-to-market strategies and directly support key accounts and large orders negotiations.
Manage, integrate and connect the whole process from opportunity to order (ITO) into project execution (OTR).
De-risk contracts and establish a true recognized project management culture throughout the whole execution chain resulting in customer satisfaction and a positive margin balance per project.
Partner with engineering to determine priority of development programs and product specifications along with tracking NPI sales and fulfillment to ensure competitiveness, market leadership and continued product longevity.
Drive modularization and platforming together with engineering and supply chain to optimize cost structure and shorten speed to market.
Investigate and create opportunities for external partnerships with integrators.
Partner with marketing team to identify, articulate and synthesize global market requirements as well as develop a go-to-market plan and be accountable for NPI commitments including launch schedules, sales and CM performance .
Be responsible for customer interaction and support as defined and required by the business.
Partner with BD team to identify inorganic opportunities that support long term growth strategy, as well as drive overall integration of acquired businesses.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Marketing or Business Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Marketing Profound experience in Product Marketing and/or Product Management Experience in B2B technology sectors, including products, services, and SW/Digital
Demonstrated ability to lead big projects and understands complexity of those
Previous experience leading complex global organizations
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong business analysis, problem solving, and strategy development skills
Ability to travel 50%+
Knowledge of NDT, Aerospace, Automotive and Oil & Gas industry is desirable
Sound understanding of the NDT market dynamics
B2B Digital/Software experience around industrial products (automation, inspection,measurement/control, or similar)
Understanding of competitive landscape is a plus
Demonstrated skills in managing multiple projects successfully
Outstanding presentation skills and analytical ability
Ability to work in cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
Green belt or Black belt Six Sigma certification is preferred (GE employees only)
