Role Summary:
The incumbent will provide Subject Matter Expertise and project management in creating equipment performance models in the GE Digital APM suite of Software and configuring the GE Digital software. This will include analyzing the equipment (or processes) to be modeled, model building, software configuration, quality assurance, and project management.

Essential Responsibilities:
•The Lead Project Engineer will work with the Project manager to plan and control GE Digital projects, as well as customer relationship management.
The Lead Project Engineer will oversee the technical aspects of the projects from order receipt to project turnover to the monitoring team (GE or customer).
Complete project assignments on-time and on-budget
• Use Subject Matter Expertise to identify components of Electrical Power Generation Equipment or Oil & Gas Equipment, and map those components to GE Digitals APM platform (powered by SmartSignal).
• Working knowledge of interpreting piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and process flow diagrams, in Power Generation equipment, Oil & Gas, or Mining industries.
• Use GE Digital software to design and build models to diagnose equipment failures and performance problems
• Configuration of the GE Digital software, and mentoring others
• Collaborate with other GE Digital software groups to provide one GE solution to customers (as defined in project scope)
• Participate through the entire project life cycle including scoping, design, testing, implementation, and training
• Collaboratively work with customers to obtain scope and solution design approvals, as well as negotiating scope changes.
• Proactively solve problems, breakdown barriers, and implement solutions utilizing the collective skills of the GE Digital APM Practice team, and other GE divisions, as required
• Follow the GE Digital project implementation processes including the use of project estimation techniques, design tools, development of schedules, and maintaining project management records as required
• Foster strong working relationships with the monitoring team (GE or customer), Globalcare, and IT.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% both nationally and internationally

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years of either Power Generation or Oil & Gas industry experience
Language: English fluency

Desired Characteristics:
• Familiarity with operation and maintenance of equipment used in Power Generation or Oil & Gas applications
• Familiarity with Equipment Health Monitoring and Performance Monitoring of equipment
• Masters’ Degree in “STEM” Major (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
• Demonstrated ability to quickly build trust and rapport, and develop influential relationships at all levels of an organization
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Strong problem solving skills and a high degree of creativity/resourcefulness
• Customer focused & strong interpersonal skills
• Working Knowledge of MS Office based products
• Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual contributor
• Proven ability to write clear, concise requirements, design and general reports (good verbal and written communication skills)
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Aptitude for using software tools to solve problems, and enthusiasm for continuous improvement
• Ability to handle several projects at the same time in a fast paced environment
• Experience managing complex engineering projects
• Experience using time-series databases.
• Strong quality background with Green Belt certification or equivalent quality certification (eg: Lean)
• GE Leadership program graduate (eg: EEDP)
• Ideally the candidate will have fluency at least 2 languages (prefer Mandarin, Bahasa Melayu and Bahasa Indonesia to support current projects)
